This course aims to equip students with the methods and tools necessary to practice qualitative research methods, whether they are used exclusively or in addition to quantitative approaches. It is designed in two parts:
(1) The first part (6h), delivered by Prof Hollet Haudebert, aims to give students an overview of the different qualitative methods and associated epistemological approaches.
(2) The second part (12 hours), delivered by Prof. Nathalie Richebé, focuses on qualitative interview techniques, from the elaboration of the interview grid to the content analysis of a transcribed interview. This second part of the course will focus on interview practice (in-class exercises) as much as on theory.
