The aim of this course is to provide students with comprehensive training in neuroendocrinology. It will explore the intricate relationships between the central nervous system and peripheral organs, highlighting their roles in regulating major physiological functions and associated behaviors. The course will examine the effects of hormones on brain function and behavior, as well as the neural regulation of key endocrine processes. Key concepts in neuroendocrinology will be covered, with a focus on the unique aspects of neuro-hormonal and neuro-peptidergic signaling, along with the complex cellular interactions that govern the functioning of neuroendocrine systems.
