The aim of this course is to provide a depth understanding of interdisciplinary topics, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to approach neuroscience research from a holistic perspective. Different parts will be developed : - Exploration of the neurobiological mechanisms of sleep, and its impact on cognitive functions and health. - Study of the neural pathways involved in the perception of internal bodily states and analyze how interoceptive signals influence emotions and behavior. - Study of the complex interactions between the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems, and understanding how these systems, in association with the gut microbiota, affect brain function and behavior in a bidirectional relationship. Part of this course will be devoted to the critical evaluation of research practices and reasoning, in order to identify and understand common pitfalls and the importance of critical thinking.
